Museum of American Hand Tools

Get up close to some of the tools that helped build the history of the past and sparked the innovation for the future.

Step back in time and experience the art of woodworking in the 19th century at our museum's exhibit dedicated to a woodworking shop used by craftsmen in the 19th century.  Featuring the largest collection of antique woodworking tools in the region, this exhibit is a must-see for anyone interested in the craft. On loan from the family of Charles Alley, this collection showcases the tools and techniques that offer a unique glimpse into the past.

From hand saws and chisels to hand planes and draw knives, each tool is carefully crafted and meticulously maintained, reflecting the skill and dedication of the craftsmen who used them. Whether you're a woodworking enthusiast, a student, or simply interested in the past, this exhibit is a must-see.
